About us SJC 2025
PMU proudly takes the initiative to organize the first international conference on legal frameworks for resilient, just, and sustainable societies — Sustainable Justice Conference (SJC 2025) — to be held at the PMU campus in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia on December 2–3, 2025.
This conference aims to facilitate the exchange of legal knowledge, judicial insight, and interdisciplinary collaboration in shaping future-ready justice systems that promote equity, sustainability, and resilience.
SJC 2025 provides an inclusive platform for policymakers, legal scholars, practicing lawyers, judges, researchers, university professors, students, and civil society members to engage in meaningful dialogue on law’s role in addressing the societal, environmental, and ethical challenges of our time.
From legal reforms in climate policy to cross-border dispute resolution and technology-driven justice systems, the conference seeks to inspire actionable outcomes such as policy recommendations, academic partnerships, and forward-looking legal research agendas.
The thematic focus spans across contemporary legal disciplines including environmental law, international commercial law, human rights, arbitration and dispute resolution, legal technology, and sustainable governance.

Important Dates
Deadline for abstract, papers, and posters submission: 15th August 2025 (Final Call)
Submission deadline for full paper (max 6,000 words including footnotes and bibliography): 7th September 2025
Notification of decision for papers and posters: 30th September 2025
Deadline for registration: 15th October 2025
Conference dates: 2nd to 3rd December 2025
Publication
All accepted and presented papers will be published in the periodical Materials Research Proceedings,
ISSN: 2474-3941 (Print), 2474-395X (Online), indexed in Scopus and CPCI (part of Web of Science).
Authors of selected high-quality research papers will be invited to submit their extended versions for publication in one of the two Special Issues of Journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (as per the guidelines).
